The Emerald Eyes.

The Emerald Being symbolizes the timeless spirit of rebirth with which we are surrounded by the forces and desolation of time (skull / fetus). St. Hildegard referred to Spirit as having Viriditas, the greening power to grow back, to do new things. With each incarnation, our eternal soul enters the perishing shell of the body and mind. Awakening occurs when the self identifies itself with the indestructible spirit.
